High Commissioner pays a courtesy call on Premier of Bermuda

H.E. Papa Owusu-Ankomah, on 24th July 2019, paid a courtesy call on the Premier of Bermuda Hon. E. David Burt, JP, MP.

The High Commissioner was in Bermuda on an official visit to explore bilateral trade and investment opportunities in the areas of tourism, insurance & reinsurance, and Fintech, among others. As part of discussions, the High Commissioner called for deeper collaboration between the private sectors of both countries.

Ghana’s relationship with Bermuda dates back to 2012 when it established an Honorary Consulate and appointed Dr. Leonard Teye-Botchway an it’s Honorary Consul General. Accompanying the High Commissioner on the visit were a selection of sectional heads of the High Commission led by Mrs. Matilda Alomatu Osei-Agyeman, Minister/Head of Chancery. Other members of the delegation were Messrs Kofi Addo and Papa Kow Bartels both Minister-Counsellors of the Trade & Investment Section as well as Mr. Godwin Tsidi, First Secretary, Finance.

The visit was organized and facilitated by Dr Leonard Teye-Botchway Ghana’s Honorary Consul-General to Bermuda.
