H.E. Papa Owusu-Ankomah, High Commissioner has hosted a roundtable meeting in London with a delegation of the Association of Ghana Industries, the Commonwealth Development Corporation, infrastructure fund managers and investors to source funding for the Ghana Pharmaceutical Industry.

The event was organised in collaboration with the Department of International Trade office in Accra, and the UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce.

Present at the meeting was Dr Adu Gyamfi president of AGI, Ms Nana Adjoba Kyiamah CEO of UKGCC, Selorm Dake Trade Advisor DIT, Mr Anthony Ameka CEO Chamber of Pharmacy and Ms Happy-Girl Buthelezi Investment Director, Commonwealth Development Corporation. There were also representatives from Citi Bank, GHIB, Sumitomo Corporation, along with other private equity funders and brokers.

Representing the High Commission were Mrs Matilda Alomatu Osei-Agyeman Head of Chancery, Mrs Joyce Assamoah Korangteng Minister Commonwealth and Diaspora affairs, Mrs Freda Bediako Puni Minister Political and Economic, Mr Papa Kow Bartels and Mr Kofi Addo both of the Trade Section. The AGI delegation, following their discussions at the High Commission has had engagements in other parts of the UK where they met with their counterparts in other UK Chamber of Commerce.
