Ghana Christian Council U.K. to host a virtual Prayer Festival for Ghana and Ghanaians in Diaspora

The Ghana Christian Council U.K. (GCCUK) in collaboration with Ghana Union and the Ghana High Commission United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, invite all Ghanaians and friends of Ghana to a live online non-denominational “Special Prayer Festival” for Ghana and Ghanaians in the diaspora on Friday 28th August 2020, at 7:00 pm via the GCCUK website www.gccuk.net

The Council is calling all to join in to thank God for protecting Ghanaians in the diaspora and Ghana, as well as our host countries the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland from the pandemic.  Special prayers will be said for all who have lost loved ones to COVID-19 or through other circumstances during this pandemic. There will also be a thanksgiving for all including H.E. Papa Owusu-Ankomah Ghana High Commissioner to U.K. who by God’s grace recovered from COVID-19.

According to the chairman of GCCUK Rev Canon Dr Shadrach Ofosuware, with all that is going on around us including the impact of the pandemic on global economies, together with the forthcoming elections in Ghana this December, there is a need for Ghanaians to seek God’s guidance and protection. He said, “I encourage all Ghanaians from all political backgrounds to come together to pray for a smooth and peaceful election for our cherished country Ghana, and for God to deliver our nation from the impact of COVID-19.”

The service will be presided over by the representatives of the GCCUK from the Methodist, Presbyterian, Anglican, United Reformed, E.P. Church, Pentecostal, other Ghanaian led independent church denominations in the U.K. and the Ghana Union. The Ghana High Commission U.K. will be duly represented. Music will be provided by the GCCUK mass choir.

The Ghana Christian Council U.K. is a registered body under the auspices of the Ghana High Commission U.K. and ROI, committed to serve all Christians, Organisations and Churches of Ghanaian origin in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. Our aim is to serve God and country. Membership is open to all Ghanaian led churches in the U.K.
